Seattle, here we come! I believe most Olmsted scholars would describe this time of their adventure as bitter sweet, and we are definitely no exception. Over the next few months we'll be cherishing our time aborad while preparing for our exciting move to the Pacific Northwest.
Through my "intense" research of the Emerald City, I have found many things to adore about this quirky and lovable area of the US. After we invest in flannel, toss the umbrella (heaven forbid we look like tourists), and head to REI to outfit our family in GORE-TEX, I think we'll be more than ready to enjoy this big city with a casual town feel. I'm excited about the walkable neighborhoods, strong sense of community, outdoor activities, fresh local markets, embracing my inner hippie, and leaning a little more to the left. I just need to find a way to gently break the news that I don't drink coffee.
Until then, our doors are open here at Morocco's Dar Musa, and if Seattle makes your travel list for 2014, we'd absolutely love to see you there as well! Also, if you happen to have any more advice about the Pacific Northwest, besides the stereotypes above, I'd love to hear it. Here's to more discoveries in another area of our amazing world!
SHUT UP!!!!!! :) When do you move?! I am by far no expert on Seattle, just sooo excited we finally get to meet! :) Hopefully, you'll be here before our orders are up in 2014 ;)
