One of the Musas is a Triathlete!

Can you guess whom it might possibly be???  Gabriel likes to take the credit, but it was most definitely Jamil!  Jamil just completed his first triathlon in Agadir, Morocco!!!  We are so proud of him for working so hard and achieving this personal goal.
We've noticed that Jamil seems to attract crazy winds on the days of his first events.  For example, back in 2008, he decided to run his first Marathon.  The abnormal winds on this particular day were knock you down to the ground kind of winds!  Nevertheless, he completed his first marathon.  On the day of his first triathlon, the winds decided to join the party and make the course that much more vigorous!  Nevertheless, he completed his first triathlon and all under his goal time of 3 hours.  Way to go!

Step 1: Swimming 1.5 K (in the ocean with massive waves!)
Step 2: Biking 40K
Step 3: Running 10k

Team Musa!
Sharing these events with other Olmsted scholars is alway a treat!  Jay Bessie (Olmsted, Ifrane, Morocco 2010) joined us for a great weekend.  He's always so good with the boys and is actually a seasoned triathlete!
Another big event, Gabriel decided that he was done with training wheels.  My eyes widened when Jamil quickly agreed to take them off.  He got his bike less than two months ago for his 4th birthday, but he is determined to step it up a notch.  Jamil practiced with him on the board walk (warning: serious strain on your back!) and he actually rode all on his own for a few seconds.  It won't be long before this 4 year old is riding a big boy bike!!!
